About us

Uhl Department Store is a retailer based at Salzhafen in The Sudmark. The company was founded on 31 August 1985 by Karin Uhl and has traded for 41 years.

Since its founding Uhl Department Store has grown into one of the leading names in the retail sector. Our head office remains at Salzhafen, where it all began.

Our founder. Karin Uhl, postal worker, was born at Hollstadt on 5 June 1933 and died on 29 January 1999.

Our history

The company's books have been kept at Chapel Quay since the registered office was fixed there, and the timeline below is compiled from them and from the press.

What we do

Uhl Department Store operates in the retail trade, serving Salzhafen and the surrounding country. Particulars of current lines are available on application to the registered office.

We offer drapery, hardware and provisions to customers throughout the country.
